"Vatican Treasures" at the Missouri History Museum

In the picture above, David Frei is putting the finishing touches on a glass tesserae mosaic now on display at the Missouri History Museum. This piece is being displayed with the exhibit "Vatican Splendors, A Journey Through Faith and Art".
It is an example of the craft that can be seen up close.
This exhibit is being billed as a once in a lifetime collection of mosaics and other artwork on lone from the Vatican. It runs through September 12, 2010.
